Feature Planned

Auto-round & Automatic Underclock Speeds

First off - great tool. You've done a great job on this. It's exactly as I'd imagine a satisfactory planner to be, and looks 10x better than any other tool out there. I'm a React dev and I can appreciate the amount of planning goes into a project like this (Let me know if you need a hand on anything btw) I have been using the satisfactory modeler for a while now, and one feature I use ALL THE TIME is the auto-balance tool: select all your machines, right-click, and it rounds your machine count up to a whole number and recalculates the clock speed on each one so the line uses exactly what's available (so we don't have any backup) Say I have an input of 60 but a machine only needs 25. This means I need 2.4 machines to cover this. Rounded up this is 3 machines, but the clock speed for each one now needs to be 80%. (60 ÷ 3 ÷ 25 × 100 = 80%) It would be great to have this as a feature, so I can click a toggle that auto rounds all my machines up and shows me clearly what the machines need to be under-clocked to so its all perfectly balanced. This might already be implemented, but I couldn't find it anywhere obvious on the planner. Apologies if so. Cheers - keep up the good work :)

Hey, thanks - that means a lot coming from someone who builds this stuff. The auto-balance/underclock feature is a great shout. Rounding machine counts up and clocking down to hit exact throughput is one of those things that's tedious by hand and perfect for the planner to just do - I can see exactly why you use it constantly. Consider it specced. I'll get it on the roadmap.

Also, appreciate the offer to lend a hand. For now it's staying a solo project. It started as a personal hobby thing and the codebase reflects that in places, so I'm keeping it closed while I clean house. I might open-source a few specific parts down the line though, so I'll keep you in mind if that changes.
